Observation Suite – Child Experiment Set Up
This suite is dedicated laboratory area for collecting data from children and babies.
The Children’s Lab makes use of our Psychology Observation Suite which consists of a control room and an observation laboratory. The space is versatile and is suitable for children. There are celling mounted cameras, microphones, connectivity to the control room, and a mirrored window to the control room.
There is a selection of toys, puzzles and games suitable for children of different ages and babies. In addition, there is a range of equipment and tests suitable for assessing specific aspects of development, such as language development, theory of mind or children’s creativity and play.
There is a camera system in place to facilitate recordings of research studies to allow further analysis of the behaviours displayed. The observation control room contains an array of PC’s and specialist software for recording and analyzing observational data. Live observations of activities in the observation laboratory can be view in real time, via a large screen TV or through the mirrored window.
