Environmental Lab
The Environmental Lab is at the cutting edge of our microplastics research. In this area we have the ability to investigate and explore trace materials through microscopy.

Environmental Lab
Within the environmental laboratory you will find the facilities required to undertake various analyses in forensics and biology. Microscopy is a linchpin technique that is fundamental to elements of hair and fibre analysis, trace evidence analysis and microplastics research.
Find yourself within a research environment from day one! This laboratory is regularly used by our Forensic Fibres and Microplastics Research Group, who work at the interface of forensic science and data science to tackle the real-world problem of marine pollution.
