Pain Lab
The pain laboratory and the associated pain equipment allows for the induction of controlled temperature pain sensation stimuli on human participants, thus facilitating research into the human responses to pain and the impact of pain on psychological wellbeing.
The pain lab make use of specialist equipment to induce controlled temperature pain sensation on human participants. This application facilitates research into quantifying human responses to pain, we can measure the physiological responses to pain stimuli e.g. heart rate (BPM) and blood pressure (Sys/Dia). We can also research how pain influences our day-to-day lives, and examine the impact this has on psychological wellbeing.
